Gay Afghan Man Raped, Beaten, and Outed by Taliban, Ryan Field Books

Gay Afghan Man Raped, Beaten, and Outed by Taliban

Here’s another rough story from the Middle East. It’s about a gay man who was raped, beaten, and then outed by the Taliban. And I’m sure this isn’t an isolated story. It all happened while the poor guy was trying to flee from the country to a safer place.

And even worse, all this transpired through social media. In his quest to get out of the country, he was catfished. And when you are desperate you are vulnerable to anything.

The men proceeded to beat and rape Hanan, and even demanded he hand over his father’s number so they could call and tell him his son was gay.

Here’s more. Of course many fear this is only the beginning of more horror the the LGBTQ+ community in Afghanistan.

Amazon

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed, and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
