13 Reasons Why Star Tommy Dorfman Comes Out As Transgender

When I saw this trending today it made me smile. And then I clicked on a link and saw the photos of Tommy Dorfman who now identifies as a woman and I was blown away. She’s gorgeous, and the photos are excellent. 

“I view today as a reintroduction to me as a woman, having made a transition medically,” she continued. “Coming out is always viewed as this grand reveal, but I was never not out. Today is about clarity: I am a trans woman. My pronouns are she/her. My name is Tommy.”

Here’s more. You’ll see what I mean about the excellent photos. I love the way she’s not changing her name and she’s going to continue using “Tommy.” Now, let’s see how many roles she gets in Hollywood. There is no reason why she can’t go up against any other female actress in Hollywood. 

We still have no clue as to how many closeted LGBTQ people there are in this world.
