Alec Baldwin's Homophobic Slurs and The Robert F. Kennedy Ripple of Hope Awards, Ryan Field Books

Alec Baldwin’s Homophobic Slurs and The Robert F. Kennedy Ripple of Hope Awards

It’s no secret that Alec Baldwin went on vicious, vulgar homophobic rants. It was bad. You just have to do a simple search to find the links.

Alec Baldwin is at it again. The 30 Rock star is accused of making homophobic comments towards a former Mitt Romney aide, Garrett Jackson…

Here’s more about this

It’s not the first time either.  There’s this. And Baldwin has even been fired for his homophobic rants

So when I saw that Kerry Kennedy was promoting her “dear friend” Alec Baldwin as the emcee for this year’s Ripple of Hope Awards, I blinked a couple of times. They actually place someone like Alec Baldwin in a position like this with his questionable background? If he had gone on racist rants I have to wonder if this would have happened? Would Kerry Kennedy still be his “dear friend?”

I highly doubt it. He would have lost his platform and we never would have heard from him again. But somehow going on an anti-gay rant is forgivable. That in itself is homophobic.

The laureates will be honored Thursday, December 9, at a hybrid ceremony featuring master of ceremonies Alec Baldwin.

Here’s the link to the Ripple of Hope Awards. It’s really sad to see an event like this become such an awful example of hypocrisy.

I have a rule now. If it’s even slightly anti-gay or slightly homophobic I cancel it. And so should you. That is the only way we are going to teach these people from all this straight privilege that we are here and we are not going to disappear.
