What It's Like to Manage a Gay Bathhouse, Ryan Field Books

What It’s Like to Manage a Gay Bathhouse

When I post these things I’m not trying to entertain the people who follow me on social media or the people I know fairly well. I get thousands of hits a month from all over the globe just through random searches and that’s the main reason why I continue this website. I’ve been doing it for over ten years and I’ve received e-mails and messages from LGBTQ people from everywhere. That’s my main goal. So if you think I’m preaching to the proverbial choir on Facebook with this, think again.

With that said, I find gay bathhouses fascinating. I’ve never been to one and for many of us, it’s a part of gay culture that’s reminiscent of the pre-AIDS era. We know nothing about it first hand. We’ve heard all the stories about what it was like, and we still find it fascinating. And there are still a few gay bathhouses left that are still in business.

This is a very interesting article that talks about some of the realities of what it’s like to actually work in a gay bathhouse.

Straight men were also known to us to sometimes being the loudest having sex, almost like they were bragging or showing off if it was happening somewhere in the club for everyone to see.

Here’s more. Oh, those naughty straight men. Where is your husband?

And they also mention things like fetishes and paddles. I also think it’s a good article for straight women who read m/m romance.

A Different Kind of Southern Love Story

What readers are saying about “Uncertainty”

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed, and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
