San Francisco Gay Men’s Choir Faces Backlash For Saying They Will Come For Your Children

The SF Gay Men’s Choir made a video that said things like this:

“We’ll convert your children. Happens bit by bit. Quietly and subtly. And you will barely notice it. You can keep them from disco. Warn about San Francisco. Make ’em wear pleated pants. We don’t care. We’ll convert your children. We’ll make them tolerant and fair.”

Here’s more. After facing some heavy backlash from conservatives who don’t understand, the choir is claiming this is all tongue-in-cheek humor.

Here’s another good link.

Here’s a link to the actual lyrics on the choir’s website. They don’t look that bad to me.

When I was a child, I knew I was gay at about 3 years old. No one had to convert me. I didn’t understand much about it, but I knew there was shame involved and I never told anyone. This is what all gay kids do. They never say anything, but we know. So clearly, this whole thing was meant as satire.

A Different Kind of Southern Love Story

What readers are saying about “Uncertainty”

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed, and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
