It’s Official: The Catholic Church Will Not Bless Same-Sex Marriage So Get My Smelling Salts

I rarely post anything about religion here. I’ve posted about the guys I’ve known over the years who were Catholic priests and closeted gay men living double lives. It is not uncommon. They live such sad, shady, shabby lives. But I never make it a focus because anything with regard to the Catholic church is usually so dismal when it comes to gay people. I also think organized religion is nonsense. And this latest article is no exception.

ROME — In a decree approved by Pope Francis, the Vatican on Monday said that priests cannot bless same-sex unions, describing such relationships as “not ordered to the Creator’s plan.”

“The blessing of homosexual unions cannot be considered licit,” the church said.

Here’s more. To be honest, I think this pope is a wing nut. He twists and turns on so many issues you never know WTF he really means. I also expect statements like this from the Catholic church. It was no surprise to me. This is also why the Catholic church is constantly losing people.

“Best Gay Novel In Years. This story will stay with you and you will feel you know every character and the beauty of their home in the mountains of North Carolina.”

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed, and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
