 Joy Reid’s Homophobic Issues, Again

I’ve seen Joy Reid trending a lot this week and I just wanted to remind people about the things she’s said with regard to LGBTQ people. Her issues trending this week are not LGBTQ related, however, I found what she did in the past to be homophobic enough for me to cancel her a long time ago. I want NO part of that kind of homophobia in my life.

People like Joy Reid do this to gay men all the time, and I don’t want people to forget about it.

These are different from previous blog posts that Reid apologized for in December 2017. In those past posts, Reid wrote that then-Florida Gov. Charlie Crist was gay, nicknamed him “Miss Charlie,” and claimed that he only married a woman for political purposes. Reid said her comments were “insensitive, tone-deaf and dumb.

Here’s the rest. That’s pretty bad and I don’t care about her apologies. They do this to a few other politicians, too, that I won’t mention. I don’t even like to post those things on my website.

But I want people to know, and to always remember this brand of homophobic behavior that often gets a free pass.

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed, and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
