Men Unzipped: Men and Their Penises

This is about a documentary that was done that focused on penis anxieties and stories about men and their penises. It also sounds as if the main point of the documentary is to deal with topics you don’t normally hear on mainstream TV…anywhere. I think this one is done in the UK. The man who is responsible for all this is a sex activist named Ajamu.

“It’s also rare to see penises on TV. We are uncomfortable in this country talking about pleasure of the body. We still live in an erotophobic culture. Other cultures, in Asia and parts of Africa, have celebrated the penis historically, but there’s something about this country that is still kind of backwards.”

Here’s more. I’ve been posting about this for years now, with regard to male full-frontal nudity in films and TV shows. It’s still a huge taboo almost everywhere. Maybe more TV shows like this one will help normalize this topic a little more. It’s just a fascinating article, and I would love to see the documentary.

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed, and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
