“Forbidden Love in Heaven” Rare Hit Gay Film In China

There’s a reason why I’m posting this and why it’s so significant. This article is about the way a gay film was received in homophobic China, where nothing is really that great for any LGBTQ people. So you have to consider the context in this situation. And for China, this is actually a good thing.

A simple film about a gay couple who adopt a homeless child, Forbidden Love in Heaven has become something almost unthinkable for LGBT+ filmmakers and moviegoers in China: a hit.

Here’s more.  I think it’s important to follow and read about what’s going on globally with regard to LGBTQ people. This is a good example of what it’s like in China. Let’s hope things are changing.

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed, and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
