French Europe Minister Comes Out As Gay and Plans to Visit “LGBT-Free” Zone
Here’s more on the global front. I didn’t even know there was such a thing as an “LGBT-Free” zone. And wait until you hear what it’s all about. This is a statement from the French Minister for European Affairs Clément Beaune who recently gave a public interview about being gay.
“I am gay, and I have no problem saying it,” he told the magazine, prompted by a question on lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer rights in Europe. He said he wanted to show his homosexuality was “not an obstacle” to becoming a minister.
Here’s a link to read the rest. He wants to visit Polish “LGBT-Free” zones for very good reasons. Apparently, more than a few Polish municipalities are calling themselves LGBT-Free. And this is what we are still dealing with in other parts of the world.
