Retired Doctor Tries To End Singapore’s Gay Ban
Here’s something new on the global front from Singapore. LGBT Rights in Singapore are atrocious. Sex between men is illegal even if it’s consensual, same-sex relationships aren’t recognized, and same sex couples adopting children is outright illegal. It’s a complete anti-gay mess.
But someone is trying to make this a little better there.
A retired doctor has filed a fresh legal challenge to force the Singaporean government to either fully enforce or introduce legislation to scrap a colonial-era law that can jail men for engaging in gay sex.
Here’s more. This horrible anti-gay discrimination is not just in Singapore. They go on to list many other places, too.
