Gay Couples Rush to Marry for Fear of Losing Gay Marriage

This is interesting because I really don’t like to make predictions about anything like this. But I do know how gay marriage became legal. It was a long, difficult fight, and we had to fight conservatives as well as so-called liberals. Yes, up until recently good old Hillary Clinton did not support same-sex marriage. And that’s all on record with a simple google search.

With that said, my point is that we continued to fight, and public opinion has changed drastically. I remember how long and hard we fought to win over same-sex marriage on a state level. It came long and slow, and many believed it was better for it to happen this way. I believe that in almost every single case a judge ruled that a ban on same-sex marriage was unconstitutional. I know that’s how it worked with Judge Jones in PA.

a federal judge in Pennsylvania on Tuesday declared the state’s ban on same-sex marriage to be unconstitutional.

So this fear that people have right now is interesting. The confirmation of Justice Amy Coney Barrett has given everyone a few palpitations. Oh, I totally understand. I was with Tony 22 years before we could legally marry. However, I’m not sure there’s all that much to worry about now. Public opinion has shifted, at least with the majority. Apparently, many are worried.

A number of couples are taking matters into their own hands and rushing to the altar for fear of this recently won right being chipped away at or even reversed.

Here’s the rest.
