Poll Shows 45% Queer Men Are Backing Trump
This story is one of the reasons why I never get political here on this web site. Nowadays it’s hard to know who is supporting any given candidate and I don’t want to insult any of my readers with partisan rhetoric. My job is to write fiction, not preach about politics. I do get into issues here from time to time, but they are almost always related to LGBTQ people and equality. I made no secret of the fact that I adore Pete Buttigieg and was thrilled to see him running for President. But I never knocked anyone else. And I try not to judge.
With that said, I think this would surprise a lot of people. I know it surprises me. And I’m really not knocking anyone right now. I’m just surprised, is all.
A recent survey of 1,200 queer men in the United States found that 45 percent planned on voting for Republican President Donald Trump. Comparatively, 51 percent said they would vote for Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.
Here’s the rest. They do into a lot more detail about the poll itself. I have to admit that some of the comments are a little peculiar, especially the one about 10% of men.
“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed, and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
