Support For Gay Marriage At All-Time High
It feels as if it was just yesterday we were all posting and writing about legalized gay marriage. I know I’ve linked to more things than I can even recall at this point. And still, after all these years, it seems to be an issue with certain segments of the mainstream. It’s improving, but it’s still an issue that’s coming up in conversation. But more than that, we are still looking for their approval. And I am so sick of people who care about that.
Seventy percent of Americans support same-sex marriage, according to the 11th annual American Values Survey, the highest percentage recorded by a major national poll. The results, released Monday, found just 28 percent of respondents oppose the right of gay couples to wed.
Here’s more. The thing that bothers me the most is why the hell do we even care about their approval? We shouldn’t care what they think now. It just shouldn’t matter anymore.
