Authors Come Together In Support of Trans People and Push Back Harry Potter Lady

When I first spotted this on Twitter my reaction was, “finally.”

Authors like Neil Gaiman and Stephen King are banning together to support transgender people. And it also looks as if they are going directly up against JK Rowling. Frankly, I’ve never been a huge fan of Rowling in any regard.

Authors Stephen King, Neil Gaiman, and Margaret Atwood have joined with other American and Canadian writers and editors to support transgender and non-binary people in the face of Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling’s continual attacks on the community.

You can read more, here. I’ll never understand what she gets out of hurting so many people. And I personally believe there are a lot of trans people out there that we haven’t even begun to notice yet.  Because most are still in the closet terrified to come out.

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed, and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
