Heteronormative Harry Styles Will Play Gay Face in a Film "The Policeman"; Ryan Field Books

Heteronormative Harry Styles Will Play Gay Face in a Film

According to this article I’m linking to right now, Harry Styles will be playing gay face in a film that was adapted from a book titled, My Policeman. Harry Styles is straight, and the book, My Policeman, was written by a woman named Bethan Roberts, not a gay male author. I’m not sure if she’s straight or gay, but clearly she is NOT a gay man.

What’s really rich about this one, aside from the fact that there doesn’t seem to be any gay men involved in the entire concept so far, is that they are calling this a “gay romance.”

Patrick’s life is thrown into disarray when Marion finds out about the affair, exposing him to the police and getting him arrested for indecency, with homosexuality being illegal at the time.

Here’s more. I’ll never stop loving the way straight people take over my culture. It’s what I live for.

You really should read the comments by Styles. I think someone should tell him that being gay is not just about sex and sexuality. We have our own culture. I know this…first hand…because I’m gay. But frankly, I’m starting to think this is never going to change, and that heteronormative people like Styles and Bethan Roberts will just continue to steal our culture and spin it into what they want it to be. There don’t seem to be any limits at all, at least not like with other marginalized groups. It is, unfortunately, what it is.

“And more than that, I dunno, I just think sexuality’s something that’s fun.”

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed, and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”
