Crafty Dr. Anthony Fauci and Claims of Rewriting and Whitewashing AIDS History
I don’t remember this in exact detail, which is why I’m linking to something that I believe to be accurate, but I do recall reading about certain issues with regard to Dr. Anthony Fauci during the AIDS crisis in the 80s. But again, I was just too young to know anything exact.
This article dates back to 2017, long before there was a COVID crisis and long before Dr. Fauci became a household name. It talks about how he handled the AIDS crisis, and it alleges that he’s tried to rewrite history so that he doesn’t come off looking poorly.
Had Fauci listened to people with AIDS and the clinicians treating them, and responded accordingly, he would have saved thousands of lives. In the two years between 1987, when Callen met with Fauci and 1989, when the guidelines were ultimately issued, nearly 17,000 people with AIDS suffocated from PCP. Most of these people might have lived had Fauci responded appropriately.
Again, I’m only sharing this information. I can’t make any solid claims. But I do know they’re talking about the antibiotic, Bactrim, and how it might have been able to help many people with AIDS who had PCP, or as a preventative. I also remember when someone I know got sick in the early 2000s and wound up with PCP. The first drug they gave him was Bactrim. And he’s still alive today.
It’s an excellent article and I truly hope people read this.
