Bang Like a Porn Star by Winston Gieseke

I’ve posted about working with Winston Gieseke here on the blog a few times in the past. I was lucky enough to have worked with him on books with a German publisher, Bruno Gmunder.  It was always a wonderful experience for me.

Well, Gieseke now has his own book out, and I think it looks fascinating. And it was coincidentally published on my birthday.

Bang Like a Porn Star: Sex Tips from the Pros Paperback – February 1, 2019

This is from the Amazon link.

You learn the piano from a music teacher. A tennis coach helps you better your serve. When you want to improve your skills in the bedroom, who do you turn to? Naturally, people who “do it” for a living. “Bang Like a Porn Star” is a comprehensive how-to on everything from hooking up to getting down and dirty.

This is totally correct. When I was single and going out to bars alone I became friendly with a group of hot male strippers and they taught me quite a bit. It IS worth learning from the pros, which makes this book even more fascinating.

You can can check out the rest, here, on Amazon. Most important, good, classic gay reading. And it’s authentic gay content.

Love, Victor on Hulu

I can’t say I hate Love, Victor. However, I had a hard time getting through one episode. As a gay man I couldn’t relate to a single thing about it. And at one time I was a teenage gay boy just like Victor. So I know how closeted teenage gay boys think and feel. I was there; I lived this. And Love, Victor simply did not do it for me.

But again, I didn’t hate it. And I’m sure some people will enjoy it more than I did so I can’t knock it either. There’s a really informative review about it.

In many ways, Love, Victor feels mostly like a well-built teen show, prominently featuring a coming-out story that is still too rare on TV, but one that’s become much more familiar in the past decade.

Here’s the link. I think we have a long way to go with gay content.

Amazon

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed, and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”

What readers said about “Altered Parts”
“Best Gay Novel In Years. This story will stay with you and you will feel you know every character and the beauty of their home in the mountains of North Carolina.”

Altered Parts

Altered Parts by [Field, Ryan]

While the book is easily readable, it also addresses emotions stereotypes and relationships. I would have preferred it be 3 times as long and tragically most guys don’t find happy endings as depicted.. but in a short book, it provides food for thought, clarity and insight.. far more and better expressed than 99% of gay fiction . I don’t think it could have been done better.
