Giant Loophole In SCOTUS Ruling For LGBTQ Rights
Early this week SCOTUS ruled that provisions listed under the 1964 Civil Rights Act also include LGBTQ people. Which means that you can’t be fired for being gay or transgender. However, there’s an issue.
But it includes a critical exception for small businesses with fewer than 15 employees, which employ as many as one in six Americans.
Here’s the link. It goes into a lot more detail. And it also points out that this isn’t the end of the fight for us. We clearly still have a long way to go, and I think it should start by re-claiming the month of June again as Pride Month. This year we barely even know it IS Pride Month.
Ellen Deletes #BLM Tweet After Major Backlash
The criticism of Ellen DeGeneres continues.
Ellen DeGeneres deleted a tweet about racial injustice in the US after some fans called her out for being vague and hypocritical.
