Excellent Interview with Schitt’s Creek’s Dan Levy

Here’s something nice that will help you get to know Dan Levy a little better. I loved Schitt’s Creek and was sorry to see the series end. I hope Levy does something else.

With this reply below, he’s responding to a question about what inspires him.

I don’t know. I’d be lying if I didn’t say it is really hard in these times. I think when there’s something impactful and tragic in the world, it’s hard to find the kind of clarity and headspace to write comedy. I find I’ve taken for granted just the clear skies, if you will.

Here’s a link to more.  It’s a good interview.

Gay Beach Destinations This Coronavirus Summer

I don’t think anyone knows what to expect this summer with the Coronavirus restrictions. But it’s going to be a lot different than what we’re used to. This article discusses some of the more popular gay destinations, and how different things are going to be this summer.

We are spending a lot of time talking about what the P-Town experience is going to look like this summer and trying to reimagine the Provincetown experience, because we believe there will still be people that come here,” Bob Sanborn, executive director of the Provincetown Business Guild, said.

I follow the P’town Facebook page and I’ve been hearing that many rentals have been canceled, and there’s been controversy about whether or not to keep the town quiet this summer. There’s a lot of heated discussion all the time about what’s safe and what’s not.

You can read it all, here.  I have no idea how we will be affected here in New Hope. We’re not a beach town, but we are a day trip or a weekend destination for many tourists throughout the year.

What readers are saying about “Uncertainty”

Amazon

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed, and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”

What readers said about Kendle’s Fire.

While the book is easily readable, it also addresses emotions stereotypes and relationships. I would have preferred it be 3 times as long and tragically most guys don’t find happy endings as depicted.. but in a short book, it provides food for thought, clarity and insight.. far more and better expressed than 99% of gay fiction . I don’t think it could have been done better.
