Homophobic Trenton NJ Councilwoman Attacks Openly Gay Mayor; Brazil’s President Claims WHO Encourages Masturbation and Gayness; Ryan Field Books

Homophobic Trenton NJ Councilwoman Attacks Openly Gay Mayor

I was surprised to see something like this happen so close to home. New Hope, where I live, is only about a half hour away from Trenton, NJ, and most places around here are extremely LGBTQ friendly. I guess it goes to show you can find homophobia anywhere.

A councilwoman from Trenton, New Jersey had a truly epic meltdown at work last week and she’s not apologizing for it.

Here’s the link to continue reading.  The things she said are not only homophobic, but offensive and graphic. She should be dumped immediately.

Brazil’s President Claims WHO Encourages  Masturbation and Gayness

Here’s another gem about someone in public office. This time it’s the President of Brazil.

Brazil’s President Jair Bolsonaro has said the World Health Organization encourages children as young as four to have same-sex relations.

Here’s more. This guy has always been homophobic. He once said he’d rather his son died in an accident than turn out gay.

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed, and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”

What readers said about “Altered Parts”
“Best Gay Novel In Years. This story will stay with you and you will feel you know every character and the beauty of their home in the mountains of North Carolina.”

While the book is easily readable, it also addresses emotions stereotypes and relationships. I would have preferred it be 3 times as long and tragically most guys don’t find happy endings as depicted.. but in a short book, it provides food for thought, clarity and insight.. far more and better expressed than 99% of gay fiction . I don’t think it could have been done better.
