Petition to Replace Ellen DeGeneres

It seems as though people have been criticizing Ellen DeGeneres for a while now, and it’s reached a point where there’s a petition going around to have her replaced.

“Ellen Page is a much better Ellen to host The Ellen Show,” the petition states bluntly. “Ellen DeGeneres is a hetero that just happens to be gay. Ellen Page is a much better host because she’s way more gay.”

Here’s a link to the rest. Frankly, I would love to see any LGBTQ person in a place of power start to call out hetero Hollywood and the way it constantly exploits and appropriates gay culture with books and movies like Call Me By Your Name Ellen never did that and that’s always been very disappointing to me. In other words, just once it would be nice to see a gay person in a place of power who’s not always 100% willing to play the straight game with all the straight people. I know it has to be done to a certain extent…but NOT always.

I could be wrong, though. Maybe in order to reach a place of power in Hollywood a gay person has to play by their rules.

Naughty Aaron Schock Partying In Cabo During Quarantine

I know so many people who love going to Cabo and that’s why this caught my eye. I honestly don’t know much about Aaron Schock, except for a few things I’ve read online.

With that said, it looks as if Schock’s managed to piss people off again.

“So not only is Aaron Schock a disgraced ex-politician who spent years voting against the rights of his own people (and STILL hasn’t apologized),” Mason wrote, “he’s also a moron who is partying with friends in Mexico DURING A GLOBAL QUARANTINE.”

Here’s more. There are a few good photos. There are also 44 comments and you’re going to want to read them.

“A wonderful story that I loved. The characters were well developed, and strong. Gus: A sweet young man. Doing something for all the wrong reasons. Craig: his boyfriend, he’ll go along with anything Gus say. Henry: Gus father a no nonsense man, who’s husband died last year. I enjoyed this story.”

What readers said about “Altered Parts”
“Best Gay Novel In Years. This story will stay with you and you will feel you know every character and the beauty of their home in the mountains of North Carolina.”

While the book is easily readable, it also addresses emotions stereotypes and relationships. I would have preferred it be 3 times as long and tragically most guys don’t find happy endings as depicted.. but in a short book, it provides food for thought, clarity and insight.. far more and better expressed than 99% of gay fiction . I don’t think it could have been done better.
