Are Gay Men Busier and More Stressed? Drew Brees Claims He’s Not Anti-Gay; Ryan Field Books

Are Gay Men Busier and More Stressed?

Gay news is really slow lately, and I think that’s partly because Gay Star News shut down a few weeks ago. I miss linking to them, and I’m worried that we’re heading back to the days when there weren’t many gay presses around.

With that said, this piece is interesting from a social POV. It’s a letter that was written by a gay man who seems to be seeking advice.

I’ve noticed that all my gay male friends are very busy and generally stressed out. But my straight male friends seem more laid back. I admit that I tend to be over-scheduled and have a hard time slowing down. How can I learn to be as relaxed as my straight friends?

I don’t know if there’s any truth to the reply or not. I’ve always been busy. I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t busy, and I never minded that.

Drew Brees Claims He’s Not Anti-Gay

Here’s another story about someone who’s being called out for being associated with an anti-gay group. This time it’s Drew Brees who is a New Orleans Saints quarterback. Brees has been promoting a campaign for a religious group called Focus on the Family.

Allegedly, though, FOTF is anti-gay. Extremely anti-gay. They go into detail about this at the link.

Now Brees is openly denying he’s anti-gay.

“There’s been a lot of negativity spread about me in the LGBTQ community recently based upon an article that someone wrote with a very negative headline, that I think led people to believe that somehow I was aligned with an organization that was anti-LGBTQ and so on and so forth,” Brees said.

There’s a lot more, here. I guess he’s trying to work all the angles? I’m really not sure, and I don’t like to speculate. But I do think the fact that he came out, in public, and stated he’s not anti-gay is in his favor. He didn’t have to say anything. He could have simply gone blank. But he made the effort.
