Jury Rules In Favor of Nicholas Sparks: He’s Not Homophobic At All
This whole story with Nicholas Sparks and alleged homophobia and racist comments has been ongoing for a while. I’ve posted about it before, and it looks as though it’s finally reached a conclusion. At least it’s reached a conclusion in the legal sense.
This week, a jury ruled in favor of Sparks, who was accused of creating a hostile work environment by discriminating against and saying disparaging things about LGBTQ students, Black kids, and other minority groups.
Here’s a link. And there’s a statement from Sparks.
I can’t speculate, but the comments are worth reading. One person left this:
‘Considering the trial was held in North Carolina, the results doesn’t surprise me.’
Top Crossfitter Comes Out As Gay
Here’s another good coming out story, and this time it’s about a top CrossFitter.
“So I’m gay,” he said. “I’m at the point in my life now where I’m OK with that. I’ve accepted it, and I’m happy with where I am.” In the video, Smith admitted that he’s always known that he was “different” and that he’s been attracted to men since the age of 12. “I hated myself for being attracted to guys,” he continued.
Here’s a link for more. There are a few photos, and he really gets honest about what it’s like to struggle with coming out as gay. Those of you who think it’s so easy to come out, even in this day and age, should really read this.
