What Convinced Taylor Swift To Speak Out On LGBTQ Rights

Even though I’m not a fan of the word, ‘ally,’ of course I love to see everyone supporting LGBTQ rights…even in the most basic, general sense. So this is a good thing.

In an interview with Vogue published on Thursday (August 8), the singer explained that she realised she need to be more vocal after a conversation with “Twerking in the Rain” singer Todrick Hall.

Here’s the link. I actually don’t expect celebrities to be vocal about politics because in this day and age sometimes it can hurt them and their careers. But if they want to be vocal, that’s fine with me, too.

CNN Says Sexual Assault Allegations Against Don Lemon Are Fake

I truly believe that stories like this should be treated with great care and the word ‘allegation’ should be taken into consideration as top priority. I have seen too many ‘allegations’ in the last few years that may or may not be true. I don’t want to be responsible for judging someone’s life.

With that said, there’s been a story going around about Don Lemon and an alleged sexual assault that happened in a bar. CNN has come out in Lemon’s defense.

“The plaintiff in this lawsuit has previously displayed a pattern of contempt for CNN on his social media accounts. This claim follows his unsuccessful threats and demands for an exorbitant amount of money from Don Lemon. Don categorically denies these claims and this matter does not merit any further comment at this time.”

Here’s the link for the rest.  There’s a lot more to the story that I’m not getting into here.
