Steve Grand Is In Provincetown all Summer

I’ll never forget the first time I watched a Steve Grand video online. It was the first time I’d ever seen an openly gay singer perform a song that was about gay men and gay love. All my life I’d wondered why there were never any songs titled, “When A Man Loves A Man,” and when I saw Steve Grand doing his song about gay love it was an amazing feeling.

And, Steve Grand has done it all on his own. There were no big agents, record labels, or producers behind him. His support came from fans, and his hard work. He started out online with nothing but his talent and he’s now become a household name for gay men. I recently saw him sing The Star Spangled Banner at the opening of a game and I was blown away again. It was one of the most wonderful renditions I’ve ever heard.

This summer he’s back in P’town performing. So for those of you who will be in P’town and don’t know, you might want to check him out.

Who: Steve Grand’s first music video, All-American Boy, tells the story of unrequited love between two men, and took the internet storm when it was released. Since then, Grand has been touring nationally and internationally, using his entertainment platform to advocate for Human Rights and LGBT Equality. Watch Steve’s Youtube channel.

Here’s a link to the P’town events web site. You find all you need to know. And if you follow Grand on social media, you’ll see that he often interacts with his fans personally. He’s the nicest person you’ll meet online.

He’s a star.

‘Stranger Things’ New Season and One Character’s Sexuality

I started watching season 3 of Stranger Things and it’s not totally awful. I’ll keep watching because right now there’s nothing better streaming and it’s not the worst thing on TV. I like the retro angle, and some of the characters. But there is a spoiler warning with this link, so you’ve been warned.

Now they’re talking about one character in particular who might be identifying as gay. It’s not totally clear yet.

After being abducted and possessed in the first two seasons, Will Byers, portrayed by Noah Schnapp, has to deal with more earthly matters. In this season, Will has a hard time adjusting to his best friends getting girlfriends.

You can read more, here. The one thing that bothers me is that they refer to the character’s ‘sexuality’ in the article. I think that’s a mistake because being gay isn’t just about sex. But they always do it.
