The UK’s New Adult Content Ban
If you’re not fond of online censorship…or censorship in general…you’re not going to like this one.
There’s a law in the UK called The Digital Economy Act that will be targeting adult content in April. This means that websites with adult content now have to prove that users are over 18 years old. Kind of interesting when you think about the fact that we actually have politicians here in the US that want 16 year olds to vote. They aren’t old enough to watch porn, drink, and in some cases drive, but they are old enough to vote for elected officials. But I digress.
Some websites have already begun to plan for this.
Right now, the videos on Men at Play come with a message that says, “In compliance with the ATVOD (Authority for Television on Demand) statutory rules, MenAtPlay will be replacing all our online non-member hardcore previews with softcore alternatives.”
You can read more about this, here. I think this is just the beginning of more censorship to come.
Trans Men In Italy Buying Illegal Hormones
On the global front, this is what’s happening to trans men in Italy.
Italian trans men have been left without testosterone shots crucial for their hormonal therapy since September 2018.
Apparently, it’s all because of ‘production issues.‘
It’s crucial for trans men to get these hormones, both mentally and physically, because without them they’ll start to get their periods back. Many are starting to get these drugs online or at gyms and they don’t even know what they’re injecting into their bodies. It’s a lot more complicated than most people would imagine, so here’s a link to the rest.
