Christ Pratt’s Anti-Gay Church

This was odd to read. Chris Pratt belongs to one of those anti-gay churches with a history of promoting gay conversion therapy.

The church originated in Australia, and it’s branched out to places like New York City. Oh, and according to this article there’s also a history of child molestation.

Here’s a link to the rest.

Ryan Murphy’s Huge Instagram Announcement

Whenever I see headlines like this I always think clickbait.

But this really is a big announcement. Murphy just revealed more details about his upcoming Netflix shows. And they sound fantastic.

Here’s the link. I think it will be interesting to binge watch them. I don’t think I’ve ever binge watched any of Murphy’s projects, and I’m looking forward to it.

The Met Opera’s Gay Conductor

Here’s a great article about the new music director of the Metropolitan Opera, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, and his partner, Pierre Tourville. It also gets into how conducting, in general, still remains a straight white male profession.

In classical music and opera, even New York, the city that gave rise to the modern gay rights movement with the Stonewall riots 50 years ago this June, has been dominated since then by two conductors: Leonard Bernstein and James Levine, who both kept sexual relationships with men hidden.

It’s a very good read, and you can check it out, here.   I think it’s important to point out these facts as much as possible, especially when they are highly significant.

Google ‘Pray Away the Gay’ App

Apparently, Google is getting backlash over an app that allegedly convinces gay people into conversion therapy.

From what I gather, the christian group, Living Hope Ministries, that created the app is making all kinds of false claims about what it’s like to be gay.

And LGBT organization called Truth Wins Out is lobbying Google to take the app down. They’re calling it a “hate app.”

You can check that one out, here.
