Glendora Hill Series Gay Fiction by Ryan Field

The other day a reader contacted me about the Glendora Hill series. He wanted to know if there’s a sequence, and how he should read the series.

So I replied that each book is a stand alone and it’s not necessary to read them in any specific order. However, I did mention that I try to move the characters forward in any series I write, and that it might make a slight difference if you read them in the order in which they were written.

So here’s a list of books in the series, in the exact order in which they were written. They’re all on Amazon, and other fine places where books are sold online. But the order in which they were written isn’t always accurate on retail web sites.

1. The Sheriff and the Cowboy

2. Cowboy Christmas Miracle

3. The Preacher’s Husband

4. Too Hard to Handle

5. When a Man Loves a Man

Ian Mckellen’s Vintage Throwback Photos

I love everything there is about Ian Mckellen, so this is fantastic…

Ian McKellen’s Vintage Throwback Pics Have Everyone Swooning Before he was known as Gandalf in ‘The Lord of the Rings’ or Magneto in ‘X-Men,’ McKellen was quite the babe — as social media users noticed in the actor’s Twitter posts. He’s basically the hip old gay guy we all aspire to be when we grow up.

You can check this out, here. You’ll like it.

Weirdest Wildest Gay Hookups

Here’s a link where gay men talk about the weirdest, wildest things they’ve done on gay hookups. It’s from Reddit. If you’re like me and you know nothing about hookup culture, you should find it interesting.

Another commenter had sex with a job applicant. “Interview[ed] him for a job,” he wrote in his response. “He didn’t get it. Good d—k tho.”

The Queen’s Gay Footman Is Demoted

This one is hard to figure out. It’s hard to comment. It sounds as if this guy was exploiting himself as openly gay to get publicity. And the Royal Household doesn’t like any publicity like this, gay or straight.

The Queen’s first openly gay footman has quit his role after Royal Household management demoted him for ‘courting publicity’.
Ollie Roberts, 21, made headlines as the Queen Elizabeth II’s first gay footman. The Queen’s Footman travels in the carriage alongside the Queen.

Man Tricks Straight Men Into Sex; 10 Vintage Bob Mizer Homoerotic Images; Transphobic Stickers Found In Gender Neutral Bathrooms;

Man Tricks Straight Men Into Sex

With all the talk going around the Internet about sexual assault, this is interesting. Keep in mind, however, that the alleged “victims” in this case chose to wear blindfolds and they knew they were going to hook up for a sexual encounter.  The problem is they thought it would be with a woman, not with a man. And the straight men wearing blindfolds didn’t like THAT.

Xavier stands accused of tricking four straight men into having sex with him. He allegedly catfished the men by posing as a woman on dating apps and inviting them to hookups either in local parks or in his home in southwest London — on the condition that they wear blindfolds throughout the encounter.

Here’s the rest. The comments really dive into this one, and more.

I wonder if it would even be an issue if a straight woman tricked gay men into having sex by pretending to be a man.

10 Vintage Bib Mizer Homoerotic Images

I’ve been seeing a lot of vintage erotica like this lately. It seems to be attracting more followers than ever before.

The Bob Mizer Foundation, named for noted photog Bob Mizer, is now publishing print editions of Physique Pictorial, the long-running magazine devoted to Mizer’s historic images of men wearing very little and in homoerotic poses.

Here’s the link.

Transphobic Stickers Found In Gender Neutral Bathrooms

And it continues to happen, sadly. This time it’s in a University in Canada. I never think these things will happen in Canada.

People started noticing the offensive stickers around the St John’s campus of Memorial University (MUN) in Newfoundland. Students also found the stickers in the gender neutral bathrooms.

You can read it, here.

Catholic School Students Support Gay Teacher; A Bisexual's Thoughts About Bisexuality; Gay Bar In Austin Closes

Catholic School Students Support Gay Teacher

This is always why I have faith in younger people today.

Pupils at a church-run school in Germany protested their administration’s decision to backtrack on a job offer to a popular teacher. The gay man’s plan to wed his partner left officials with “no other alternative.”

Here’s the rest. I see a lot of grouchy older people on social media complaining about technology (which I love), and younger people who won’t put down their phones, but I happen to believe younger people today know exactly what they’re doing. So far, I haven’t been let down. They’re not stuck in the past waiting for those proverbial street lights to come on.

A Bisexual’s Thoughts About Bisexuality

Here’s something from a bisexual that’s coming from first hand experience. We don’t hear about these things often enough.

When I first came out as bisexual I didn’t much mind how often I was identified by others as gay. More often than not, I wouldn’t even bother to correct the error, even relishing in it to some degree.

You can read it all, here.  Frankly, I never understand why some gay people find it so hard to understand bisexuals.

Gay Bar In Austin Closes

Here’s more news about gay bars. In this case, though, no one’s sure about anything right now. They’re posting that it’s closed for repairs and maintenance

Chronicle also reported that Oilcan Harry’s, which opened in 1990, is currently on TABC’s delinquent list, which means it owes money to its liquor sellers. Over on its Facebook page, the last post notes that the bar isn’t hosting its Super Sunday Diva Show because of “unforeseen circumstances.” The show is relocating to next-door gay bar Rain on Fourth.

Here’s the entire piece. There’s also a GoFundMe page link set up for former staff.

Bigot Knocks Two Gays Unconscious; Man Chops Up Gay Guy; Man With Bionic Penis Collapses

Bigot Knocks Two Gays Unconscious

It’s still happening.

He called them ‘faggots’ before knocking them unconscious, according to police and witnesses. The two were walking from the Metropolitan Bar in Brooklyn when McNamara assaulted them.

There’s more, here. There’s also a photo of him.

Man Chops Up Gay Guy

I hate to keep posting about things like this, but it’s real and it’s news. And most of us never see these things in mainstream news. In fact, gay people aren’t news unless we’re being exploited for political purposes, or it’s about Will and his Grace.

A man who shot and chopped up the gay roommate of his girlfriend out of jealousy has now been given life sentence.

Here’s the link to this one.

Man With Bionic Penis Collapses

I’ve posted about this guy before, and this was shocking to see.

A man who was fitted with a £50,000 bionic penis was hospitalised just days after having sex for the first time.

Here’s the rest. It’s an amazing story, and there’s a lot of back story this time.

Male Full Frontal Nudity: Streaming Penises; Judy Dench Sticks Up For Kevin Spacey; Keiynan Lonsdale Wants To Be Referred To As A Tree

Male Full Frontal Nudity: Streaming Penises

Here’s a good piece about male full frontal nudity that’s streaming. Here’s one…

Boogie Nights

This 1997 flick about a dishwasher turned porn star features an impressive 13-inch prosthetic latched onto Mark Wahlberg’s own goods. Of course, being that it is not Wahlberg’s actual penis, including it on this list is debatable. But it looks pretty real. Yell at me in the comments if you want.

You can check it out, here.

Judy Dench Sticks Up For Kevin Spacey

This is interesting because I’ve seen this kind of logic a lot lately.

Are we to go back throughout history and anyone who has misbehaved in any way, or who has broken the law, or who has committed some kind of offense, are they always going to be cut out?

Here’s more. There’s an even more interesting discussion on the comment thread.

Keiynan Lonsdale Wants To Be Referred To As A Tree

I’ve seen a lot of people joking about this all week, and even I will admit it’s a little strange, but I do agree with his overall message. In fact, it’s all about the overall message with this one. But it’s not my job to explain it. You can call me anything you want. I’ll live.

He continued: “I want people to call me ‘tree’, because we all come from trees, so it doesn’t matter if you’re a he or a she or a they or a them. At the end of the day, everyone’s a tree. I want to call my friends tree, and me tree, and everyone tree.”

Skyscraper Looks Like Penis and Testicles; Gay Journalist Calls Out Superman; Straight Man Sues Rehab After Being Coerced Into Having Gay Sex For Drugs;

Skyscraper Looks like Penis and Testicles

This is something you don’t see every day.

This is the moment a newly-opened skyscraper criticised for looking like a penis and testicles suddenly shoots fireworks out of the top.

Here’s more, with a photo

Gay Journalist Calls Out Superman

This one is long and a little more complicated than most. Actor, Dean Cain, who played Superman on TV spoke to an anti-gay hate group and a gay journalist challenged him on Twitter.

I see this kind of “splaining” to gay people all the time, and I’ve had my own discussions on social media about it. It’s a good example of how some straight people do not “get” it. Take a look at this:

After that piece was published, Cain tweeted it’s not “bashing” to call LGBTQ people intolerant for not tolerating hate directed at them.

That doesn’t even make sense. You can read it all, here

Straight Man Sues Rehab After Being Coerced Into Having Gay Sex For Drugs

This reminds me of the Unclean Hands legal doctrine…which basically says, in my own basic terms, you can’t go to court and be taken seriously if you’ve done anything unethical with regard to the case. But I don’t know enough about it to comment.

Robert says after allowing Salcido to perform oral sex on him, Salcido gave him $150 then granted him permission to leave the facility and buy drugs from a homeless person in a nearby park.

Here’s more. I’d be curious to see a follow up on this one.

Watch Tom Daley Tumble and Twerk; Chatting With Guy Who Lies About Age; Campaign To End Hate Crime In Scotland;

Watch Tom Daley Tumble and Twerk

It’s Monday. Politics is more vicious than ever. So here’s something a little lighter.

Daley shared a video yesterday with his 2 million Instagram followers of himself getting back in the swing of things, along with the caption: “Papa goes back to training. Watch the full video on my YouTube.”

You can check it out, here.

Chatting With Guy Who Lies About Age

Here’s something that’s been happening since the beginning of gay time. Not big deal.

Over 3,000 people participated in the survey, which was conducted earlier this month. One if four respondents admitted they had lied about their age at least once while chatting with a potential new hookup.

Here’s the link. Lucille Ball once said that she couldn’t lie about her age because she told too many people her real age when she first went to Hollywood. But she wished she hadn’t told the truth back then.

Campaign To End Hate Crime In Scotland

This one is for all the transphobes in Scotland.

‘Dear transphobes, do you think it’s right to harass people on the street?’ the poster reads.
‘Right to push transgender people around in clubs? Right to humiliate, intimidate and threaten them online?
‘Well we don’t.
Here’s more. Good for them.

Logan Moore On Doing Gay Porn; Adam Rippon In the Smithsonian; LGBT Choir Sings We Are Family In At Protest

Logan Moore On Doing Gay Porn

I enjoy reading about gay porn stars, and I like when they’re candid, especially in this day and age in the New Victorian Era of purity.

Dutch gay porn star Logan Moore says as an LGBTI adult entertainer, you have to come out twice – and you never know what the reaction is going to be like.

Here’s the rest. It’s a nice piece about coming out.

Adam Rippon In the Smithsonian

This has been making the rounds all week.

The 28-year-old skater, who became the first out gay U.S. male athlete to win a medal in a Winter Olympics when he took home the Bronze at this year’s Games in South Korea, has donated his Olympic costume and skates to the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of American History.

You can check that out, here. Some of the comments are a little snarky, though. But that’s the Internet and we expect that. I follow Rippon on Twitter and I love reading his tweets.

LGBT Choir Sings We Are Family In At Protest

It’s sad that we still have to protest things like this.

An LGBT+ choir has staged a protest outside the Catholic World Meeting of Families, where they sang “We Are Family” and “Something Inside So Strong” in response to the exclusion of LGBT+ people from the event.

Here’s the link. When are people going to realize that LGBT people can be religious, too. And how can you deny anyone the right to practice their religion? These are good, decent people.
