The New Gay Agenda Is All About Cake; Naked Men Covered With Flowers; London Pride Apologizes For Anti-Trans Protesters

The New Gay Agenda Is All About Cake

Here’s an interesting piece about two plays, The Cake and The Closet. The Cake is a take off on what happened with the Colorado baker who refused service to a gay couple, and The Closet is a “satire of post-gay political correctness.”

I caught “The Cake” at the Barrington Stage Company here, during a recent Berkshires visit that also featured, 20 miles to the north at the Williamstown Theater Festival, Douglas Carter Beane’s “The Closet.” Different as they are — “The Cake” is intimate and touching, “The Closet” big and blaring — both set out to address timely issues of gay life and representation.

You can read more about this, here. It’s an interesting social commentary, in general.

Naked Men Covered With Flowers

This looks very artistic…

Flowers are a precious reminder of fleeting, young beauty. I love the idea of freezing the wild, perfect frailty of life in its prime. It would seem a waste if I failed to notice moments of bloom.

You can check out the naked men covered in flowers photos, here. It’s not for everyone, but it’s interesting.

London Pride Apologizes For Anti-Trans Protesters

A group of anti-trans protesters hijacked the London Pride parade, and I had a feeling this would be out soon.

‘We are sorry,’ Pride in London’s statement regarding the incident reads.
‘Yesterday a group of individuals labelled as “Get The L Out!”, who were not a registered parade group, forced their way to the front of the parade to stand on the rainbow flag. Their behaviour was shocking and disgusting, and we condemn it completely.’

Here’s more. It gives all the back story and they talk about how they’ll plan ahead so this never happens again.

The mayor of London has also come out to condemn the group that hijacked the parade.
