The Gay U of Penn Student Murdered In California

Here’s more about the story of the gay University of Pennsylvania student, Blaze Bernstein, who was murdered in California that I posted about earlier this week. But now they’re releasing more facts, with a strong homophobic angle.

Woodward stands accused of communicating with Blaze through Snapchat on 2 January and picking the teen up in his car.
According to a 16-page affidavit, Woodward told investigators Bernstein kissed him on the lips while the two were sitting in a parked car.
Woodward said the kiss was unwanted and that he pushed Bernstein away. He also told investigators he wanted to call Bernstein a ‘faggot.’

Here’s more. That poor kid, Bernstein. May he RIP. There are photos of him at this link.

Why Ricky Martin Waited To Come Out

Here’s one reason why Ricky Martin waited to come out of the closet as gay.

He continued: ‘But you know, that’s why everyone was telling me that it was going to be the end of my career.
‘It was extremely painful for me.
‘Until I said, “I can’t take it anymore. It’s all about me now. It’s not about what’s happening outside, it’s about what I need in order to be happy”,’ he said.

The Priscilla Queen of the Desert Soundtrack You Didn’t Hear
I never knew this. And I have the Priscilla soundtrack. Apparently, there’s a lot of history behind the music that was…and was not…used in the film.
Kylie Minogue was mooted to feature heavily on the soundtrack for classic 90s LGBTI movie The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, it has emerged.
The soundtrack eventually featured camp standards like Go West by Village People, I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor, and Mamma Mia by ABBA.
