New Trevor Donovan Web Site, With Blog Posts
I still try to keep up with new web sites that have personal blog posts where the site authors post interesting, thoughtful commentary that often sparks civil discussion. I’ve been scouting these sites since I worked as a critic for Best Gay Blogs almost 15 years ago. And when I saw this new web site authored by film actor, Trevor Donovan, I thought I’d share it.
Here’s an excerpt from one post.
Yet you argue that, because entertainers “pretend” for a living, our opinions are, prima facie, less valid than, say, those of a cook or waiter, a salesperson or beautician, a banker, doctor, plumber, or mechanic, each of whose existence equally depends upon the patronage of others.
You can read more, here. I think you’ll like it. It’s reader oriented. It’s well executed, simple to navigate, and there are other things to see, too. And, there’s an open comment thread for blog post readers, so you can compliment, or rant, depending on which you prefer.
But even more…the web site itself has an excellent share button. If you want to share something you’ve read to your social media it’s simple and clear. I do love Google blogger, but this is so much easier.
Lisa Kudrow On Grace and Frankie’s New Season
I’ve been a fan of Grace and Frankie since season one, so I’ll definitely be looking for this one.
The Comeback’s Lisa Kudrow will be lending her talents to the role of Grace’s bubbly, bubble-headed manicurist Sheree; a surefire way to add some new blood to this veritable chuckle factory, now entering its irascible, ever-strident, and always-empowering fourth season.
Here’s the rest. The new season airs January 19, 2018. I like the fact that they don’t take forever to get a new season on the air again. Some of these other shows take so long you either don’t remember what happened in the previous season, or you just don’t care anymore.
Doug Jones On Sexual Assault
Doug Jones…the politician in Alabama who has an openly gay zaddy son and who recently beat Roy Moore…hasn’t even been sworn into office yet and some journalists are already going after the poor guy for something he said about sexual assault.
And this is really all he said…
“Let’s get on with the real issues that are facing people of this country right now, and I don’t think that the President ought to resign at this point. We will see how things go. But, certainly, those allegations are not new, and he was elected with those allegations at front and center.”
You can check this out, here. And be sure you read all the comments. The people are speaking up.
And don’t forget my publisher is doing a free giveaway at Goodreads for A Christmas Carl.
