North Carolina Bar Throws Out Gay Couple
In Fayetteville, NC, there’s a bar that threw a gay couple out and the owner is now receiving backlash…from all over the country. What actually happened isn’t totally clear yet.
According to the two guys…
‘He put his arm around me, he gave me a kiss, and she said this wasn’t right, this wasn’t OK,’ said Deras, who was visiting from California. ‘She threatened both of us. He gave me a kiss. It was very minor. It was just a peck. It was two seconds.’
The owner, Pam Griffin, claims otherwise…
‘I walked up to them calmly. I asked them guys, you know, can you kind of just separate, kind of move apart?’
She told WRAL News, ‘I don’t care if you stay and drink. We don’t need to be doing that, and just calm down because you’re making people feel uncomfortable.’
She said they then laughed and gave each other another ‘big kiss.’
Then it all devolved into an ugly scene from there. Would Ms. Griffin have reacted that way to a straight couple? Would she have claimed that customers were complaining? It think that makes a big difference. However, we’re talking about a bar. And a bar is a bar. It’s not a church.
Greg Louganis 30 Years Post Wheaties Snub
Openly gay Olympic swimmer, Greg Louganis, seems to be reaching out to the Wheaties people about putting his image on the box.
‘To simply be here, living my life as my true self is rewarding enough,’ Louganis writes in a newWhoSay column. ‘However, I feel like I owe this box to my friends, family, and fans that have been cheering me on for decades. Sure, the Wheaties cover would have been cool in 1984… but after all we’ve been through, it would be even more iconic now.’
At the time, 30 years ago, it’s alleged they didn’t want his image on the box because of gay rumors that were circulating.
And for the people at Wheaties…in case you’re not interested in Louganis. I’m free. Hell, that’s not only a great message there’s a lot of money involved in a deal like that. I love Wheaties more than Nutella, I run five miles every single morning, I work out regularly, and I’ll do it for half the money of what Louganis wants…and I’ll put that in writing. (Smile)
Rapper Slams Caitlyn Jenner
There’s this rapper that claims Caitlyn Jenner is “An Affront to God.”
The rapper’s name is Waka. Flocka. Flame.
That’s really all you need to know…yes, Waka. Flocka. Flame.
But there’s this:
It’s like, it’s not cool, they’re not marketing that. They don’t market families and husbands and wives no more. They marketing young girls, you know what I’m saying? Transgenders — they’re marketing evil, man.’
